2025 Board of Directors Candidates

Merrick Anderson

I have been with the Toro company since November 2024 as the Senior Analyst in the Treasury and Risk Department and have been a member of the Toro Credit Union since I joined the organization. I would like to be considered for a board member position with the credit union because I would like to give back to the credit union and all its members. I feel I can bring fresh ideas to the table for the future of the credit union moving forward for 2025 and beyond.

My previous roles were as a Treasury Analyst at Pentair Inc in Golden Valley, MN for 5 years and prior to that I was a Staff Accountant and Sr. Treasury Analyst at CSM Corporation in Minneapolis, MN for 6 years.

I have a BA in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas and a MA in Finance from Hamline University.

Thank you for the consideration for this position.

John Mattson

My name is John Mattson and I have been with The Toro Company for 27 years.  I have spent that time in the Engineering Services role of which I am currently a Sr. Engineering Manager.  I will also be completing my MBA degree from the Herberger School of Business at St. Cloud State University in 2025.

I have been a Credit Union member for almost my whole tenure at TTC and over the years I’ve also setup accounts for 6 of my kids.  They start with just savings accounts, but then progress to a checking account with debit cards around when they start high school and then college money when they get to that phase.  I have adult children that still have their accounts with the Toro FCU.

Over the years, we have utilized the Credit Union for checking, savings, money market and CD accounts along with various types of loans.  I feel our Credit Union competes very well with commercial banks in terms of services and rates, but with the added benefits of the personal service you can get.
